Holmenkollen, high above the city, has the national ski arena, rebuilt for the 2011 World Championships, and the Ski Museum, founded in 1923. Above it, Frognerseteren looks out over the city and the fjord, and the forest of Nordmarka stretches north. The T-bane climbs here from the centre.
