About Oslo City Hall
Oslo City Hall, on Fridtjof Nansens plass, opened in 1950 and is decorated with Norwegian art from 1900–1950, with motifs from the country’s history, culture and working life, VisitOSLO records. The carillon in its tower, the largest in the Nordic countries, plays every hour from 07:00 to 24:00 (oslo.kommune.no). The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded here each 10 December.
