Aker Brygge is a promenade of shops, bars and restaurants along the water. Beyond it, Tjuvholmen, once a haven for thieves and smugglers, has The Thief hotel, Renzo Piano’s Astrup Fearnley Museet and a sculpture park with a city beach. Inland, the National Museum and the Nobel Peace Center face the City Hall square.
